Scratch creation

Kia Ora,I have been working on a media scratch creation. First I picked a background in scratch then I picked a character I chose the princess. After that I colored the princess the color I wanted it in costume. Finally chose some things that represented the media like a radio and a laptop then I was ready to start. The first thing i did to start was I had a think of what I actually wanted to do and I ended up wanting to do it when all of the things I picked start moving and bumping into each other.

Here is my creation.

How to be Safe online

Kia Ora,This term we have been learning about cyber bullying (being safe online).

We learnt that if you have an unsuitable comment or email you can send it to your teacher. How you do that is take a screenshot of the comment or email. Then name the subject unsuitable comment or email make sure to send them the URL to.

What’s the URL? good thing you asked it’s the search bar that is underneath your tabs and above your work.

It will have your URL of the website in it.

When you take a photo if you want someone in it make sure to ask them before you insert it or even better before you take the photo.

The Novel Adventure

Kia Ora, My name is Eliza. In Hauraki  we have been doing our novel study we got into groups and we all got the same novel to read. I was reading Dunger by Joy Cowley, The main characters were Melissa her nickname is Lissy and we also had another main character called William nickname Will. The story is about Will And Lissy were going to go to Queens town with there parents but then they found out they actually had to go with there grandparents  to there Bach, when they got there Melissa  looked in the cupboard so she could put everything in and there was moue poop and then Will had to climb up on the roof to clean the chimney but he was only nine years old Melissa is fourteen. Near the end of the story the grandpa went to the hospital. We had to do this slide show about the story and one of the slides was a google drawing this was mine.

A day under the Strings

Kia Ora, dear viewers!

On the 27th of April, our syndicate Te Waka Ako seniors were under the trenches. We weren’t actually in the trenches we were under strings all day on our hands and knees! The teachers stayed up all night after school on Wednesday using tape to stick the string up, on stuff.

When I arrived at school on Thursday I was so confused the blinds were down and there was a sign that said “the war had been declared, report to Manukau at 9:00”

The day started and we went inside the classrooms when the bell rang, well we thought we would go in the classroom. We actually had to stay outside and practice marching! It was fun and then we got in to three lines my line went back into the classroom. When we were going back into the classroom, you would not believe me. someone was dong push ups out side, they were in one of the other lines, I think they got caught talking.

When we got inside there was a list of things to get on the TV. We all rushed into our classes (on our hands on knees) we had to get our math’s book, pencil and glue stick. I just went to my box grabbed my pencil case and found my math book, then I found a spot under the table to sit. There was a piece of paper there I didn’t read it tho. Isabella and Leeya arrived with their kit (that is what we call out stuff in the war). We carried on the day and it ended up well it was really fun.

How to make a paper mache wether balloon

Welcome to the steps on how to create your own wether balloon

Paper Weather Balloon

Goal: To get a realistic paper mache weather balloon

Materials

Newspaper, Glue, Vaseline, Balloon, Water, Paintbrush, Container, Cloth and Paint Tray

METHOD:

  • Rip newspaper up into little pieces and put them  into a container.
  • Put a cloth on the table.
  • Mix half a cup of water in a container and put half a cup of glue in the container too.
  • Blow up the balloon and tie the top up so the air stays in.
  • Right the person’s name on a peg so you know who’s who and put it on the balloon
  • Now you can get a piece of newspaper and dip it in the glue then put it on the balloon.
  • If you need to you can get a paintbrush and paint over the newspaper.
  • You need to put newspaper all over the balloon and repeat it 4 more times.
  • When you finish 5 layers you can carefully let it dry overnight.
  • Now you can decorate your balloon with paint.
  • Now carefully pop the balloon.
  • Finally carefully pull out the balloon in the crust.
  • finally you are done, flip it around so the smaller end is at the bottom you can hang it from the sailing or
  • anything.

I learned how to paper mache using newspaper and glue. I enjoyed painting the first layer of my decorations. I also found it hard at first to paper mache because the newspaper sometimes got stuck in the glue.

Thank you for reading my blogpost. Arrivederci!

Netball game

Kia ora my name is Eliza my school is called Waikowhai Primary school.
I play Netball. I have only just started playing but I’ve already played one game and it’s fun. We play against other schools and we were a school playing. We are called the Magic team,  I’m not sure why but it’s okay. I was playing with Darcey,Danielle, Jasleen, Alanna, Deezhanay, Honor, Jodece, Kingston and Mo. We automatically won our first game because we were supposed to play two games but we only played one. That’s only because the other school we were supposed come but they couldn’t come so we won. When it was almost our turn to play it started raining and it got really cold. Then we found a two or one dollar coin. we wanted to pick it up but we weren’t allowed to. Jasleen and I played center. I started out on the side when the whistle went I ran in and joined the game as a team mate. Jasleen started off with the ball in the middle circle and then she threw the ball when the whistle went. Centers weren’t allowed in the ovals where the attackers shoot the goals. Darcey – Rose was attack with Honor. Alanna and Deezhanay were defense when I played In the last half time. I wonder If we will be able to play two games next Monday?
Bye thank you for reading.
